‘Drogheda on the Boyne’ is the place to be the 1st week of May with the Drogheda Arts Festival, Fringe Festival and the Tall ships coming up river into town..
Our Facebook followers will know that the BBC History Magazine in association with Lonely Planet published a list of the Top 21 History Destinations in the World and The Boyne Valley was one of them!!! Other destinations listed include Machu Pichu, Istanbul, Angkor Wat and New Orleans! Is that good company or what? The driving route map has all our local World Heritage sites listed and can be found on the Arts and Heritage page.
For those of you who would like some activity after all that Culture… How about some Kayaking or Rafting on the River Boyne at Slane with Activity Legends James Murray and Dara Llewellyn, the guy’s also teach Archery and High-Ropes, the challenge is on.. www.boynevalleyactivities.ie
