We’ve added translation functionality to our website so you can view the entire site in any one of over 40 languages, including Irish! Look out for the translate button on the site, top right hand corner.
Bloom Ireland 2012
Bloom, Ireland’s largest gardening, food and family event, will take place in the Phoenix Park Dublin during the June bank holiday weekend for 5 days (From Thursday 31st May – Monday 4th June 2012). Bloom 2011 was the 5th year of the event and to date has been the most successful yet! Bloom 2011 attracted almost 90,000 visitors to the 70 acre site at the Visitor’s Centre in the Phoenix Park, Dublin.
Walking Festival in the Boyne Valley
Boyne Valley River Walk 10.00am 15kms, Approximately 4 hours
Bru na Boinne Walk 10.00am 15kms, Approximately 4 hours
Starting Point: Bru na Boinne Interpretive Centre… Walk the ancient highways and by-ways of Bru Na Boinne. The route takes to the fields, farms and lanes around the famous Neolithic Passage Tombs. The river is associated with many myths and legends from the Salmon of Knowledge to the burial of Cormack Mac Art, the first Christian King of Ireland. Bru na Boinne is a UNESCO World Heritage site and its monuments predate Stonehenge and the Pyramids. This walk will provide unique views of Newgrange and the Boyne Valley, and will also enter Knowth for a short tour the site. The walk will finish at Bru Na Boinne Centre. A Taste of Dublin 2012
Jamie Oliver will join a stellar bill of Irish and internationally famous chefs who will feature throughout ‘Taste of Dublin’ from Thursday June 14th to Sunday 17th June. These include Valentine Warner, Rachel Allen, Oliver Dunne, Ross Lewis, Derry Clarke and many more.
Taste of Dublin is Ireland’s premier summer food festival attracting up to 30,000 visitors each year. Enjoy a feast for the senses with 20 of Dublin’s best restaurants, interactive Master Classes, two live entertainment stages and over 100 exhibitors. Pick up informative tips with culinary demonstrations in the Chef’s Theatre and intimate Q&A sessions with top chefs at the Chef’s Table.
National Sand Castle and Sand Sculpture Competition 2012.

This year’s event will take place on Sunday July 1st on Bettystown Beach from early morning. Come along and take part by making your own castle or sculpture or simply watch the artists and builders at work!

Mill Mount Design Centre Drogheda
Millmount Design Centre is a small and delightful Craft Shop in the Historic heart of Drogheda. Set up by two craft designer-makers, Elaine Hanrahan Silversmith and Mel Bradley Silks. Elaine a jewellery maker is at hand in the shop (incorporating her studio) and takes pleasure in introducing her customers to the work of many talented fellow makers.
